OVERMARINE GROUP, MORE THAN 30 YEARS OF ITALIAN PASSION AND EXPERIENCE IN BUILDING DREAMS.
The Mangusta brand was created in 1985 by the Balducci family, in the business since ’60 and still is at the head of the company, Overmarine Group. Under this brandname, they build fast maxi open yachts and luxury long range yachts. Inside the Group, there is a production of peacekeeping and coastguard ships (Effebi branded), too.
With over 300 yachts sold and so many years in the business, Mangusta approaches the market today with its own uniqueness. Following a cross-sector development trend it is proposing three different lines of product, each the expression of innovative technical and technological content, that allows the Owners to experience the sea dependant on their own personal interpretation.
The line of the tradition is that of the Maxi Opens Mangusta, a segment in which the Group is a market leader. It is the Mediterranean yacht par excellence, that allows you to dart from one place to the other in outstanding comfort (in terms of quietness, stabilisation and vibration) and in spaces inside and out that are large and exquisitely balanced. The 50m in the Mangusta 165 E series, whose 12th unit was delivered, is recognised as an absolute icon of style and performance and represents unparalleled success.
The current range features 94 to 215 ft yachts.
The same technological contents developed for high-performance yachts (focused on onboard comfort) and the same concepts of balancing open spaces with internal volumes we find applied to the development of the Mangusta Oceano line, that of Long Range yachts in metal. The link with the Open is again stylistic, in the family feeling represented by the contemporary, timeless design. But this line has stylistic details that definitely distinguish it, bestowing a strong identity and a great recognisability. These are ships optimised for a range to rival those of the explorer type, of up to 5,000 miles, with a beach area that could become a toy area as well. The fourth 43 meter is already in production with projects up to 60-m.
The Mangusta GranSport line is the technical and stylistic syntheses of the other two lines: it is a fast displacement yacht, i.e. yachts with a great range, that have the best performance at displacement speed but that offers at the same time the ability to achieve higher speeds typical of high-performance yachts, when necessary or advisable. The first flagship, 54 metres long, has been delivered last summer 2018. A 45-metre version is also under construction.
The Overmarine Group spans 10 production facilities in Tuscany, Italy, in the areas of Viareggio, Massa and Pisa, totaling around 190,000m2 of indoor and outdoor space. It also has two wharfs in the port of Viareggio, equipped for the final preparation of the yachts, layover and the after sales service. All processes are carried out within the Group’s companies, from designing and making moulds, to moulding, lamination in composite materials, cutting the steel through to fitting the interiors, including the electronics and onboard systems. The Group also has its own in-house Design Dept. able to satisfy all the layout and decor demands of our Owners, as well as a cutting-edge Technical Office and After Sales service available 24/7. The company also has branch offices in Miami, USA, and Golfe Juan, French Riviera and a network of dealers strategically placed around the world which guarantees comprehensive before and after sales assistance.
In 2016 has been found to conform to the Quality Management System Standard – UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 (ISO 9001:2008) for the scope of design and construction of motor vessels in composite material and to conform to the Environmental Management System Standard – UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 (ISO 14001:2004) for the scope of design and construction of yachts in composite material and their equipment.
