OVERMARINE GROUP OPENS THE SEASON WITH TWO NEW LAUNCHES

With spring just around the corner, Overmarine Group ushered in the season with two new yachts hitting the water just a few days apart - two launches in a row that testify to Mangusta’s dynamic manufacturing capabilities and the increasing success of its models on international markets.

The fourth Mangusta GranSport 54 – the flagship of the Mangusta GranSport fast displacement range – was the first to be launched, on Tuesday, 17 March in Pisa.

Built in aluminium at the Group’s shipyard in Pisa, the Mangusta GranSport 54 is an exquisite blend of speed, long-range cruising capacity, and unparalleled comfort.

Boasting a range of up to 4,200 nautical miles at 12 knots, this model is well-suited of comfortable long ocean crossings – as proven by the round-the-world voyage completed by El Leon, the first unit in the series – but, thanks to its four 2,600 HP Rolls-Royce MTU engines coupled with four propellers, can also reach a top speed of 29 knots.

Designed jointly by the shipyard’s Engineering Department, engineer Ausonio, and designer Alberto Mancini, the Mangusta GranSport 54 captures the very essence of the Mangusta DNA through a muscular design where grit and a sporty character never imply compromising on style.

Slender lines, a distinctive stern, the air intakes sculpted in the aluminium hull, and the raked windscreen integrated into the roll bar harmoniously combine to shape this model’s high, bold, and contemporary profile.

At the stern, the central door and the two side hatches open up to create a wide beach club overlooking the sea, with fully equipped terraces and relaxation areas.

On the Mangusta GranSport 54, the interiors are seamlessly connected to the outdoor areas by large glazed surfaces that create a smooth, free-flowing continuity throughout the yacht.

And, as on every Mangusta model, on this unit too the shipyard's design team worked shoulder to shoulder with the Owner to make sure even the tiniest detail would impeccably meet their needs and reflect their personal taste.

On this yacht in particular, one of the guest cabins has been converted into a wellness area where guests will be able to indulge in pure relaxation, enjoy a massage, and be treated to blissful spa treatments.
The vessel will be delivered to her Owner – who has already been a proud Mangusta Owner in the past – ready for the forthcoming summer season.

Just a few days later, on Friday, 20 March in Viareggio, the time came for the tenth Mangusta 104 REV (the entry-level in Mangusta’s iconic Maxi Open range) to be launched, in the presence of the Client and of the Overmarine team that was involved in her construction.

This model's propulsion system comes with two 2,600 HP Rolls-Royce MTU engines coupled with Kongsberg-Kamewa waterjets – a solution that guarantees a top speed of 35 knots, maximum comfort, and optimised fuel consumption.

The Owner was won over in particular by this model's elegant and sporty silhouette, skilfully created by the synergy between the shipyard's Engineering Department and design firm Lobanov Design, who pencilled its exteriors capturing Mangusta’s purest stylistic identity.

Among the most distinctive features of the Mangusta 104 REV are the large glazed surfaces perfectly integrated in the yacht's sporty profile, which let natural light flood the interiors and create a visual continuity between the indoor and outdoor areas.

The fully-opening aft cockpit door takes this concept even further, enhancing space perception and contributing to defining a natural and immersive onboard experience.

The stylish exterior design was not, however, the only feature that drew the Owner to this model: the build quality and interior finishes also played a role, as did the high level of customisation offered by the shipyard, which allows every owner to have their unique vision of ‘onboard lifestyle’ crafted into their own unique yacht.

This unit's interiors have maintained a standard configuration with customised individual solutions, developed by Overmarine Group's design team in close cooperation with architect Francesco Bortolato from Nembo Design.

This yacht is going to be delivered to her Owner in early May.
