ICONA 70 WINS BEST EXTERIOR DESIGN AWARD AT THE WORLD YACHTS
TROPHIES 2026 AND GETS READY FOR OTHER TWO BOAT SHOWS

Just a few days after its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the ICONA 70 won the 'Best
Exterior Design' award at the 25th World Yachts Trophies, hosted by magazine Yachts France.

Receiving the award was the crowning achievement for the first 'ICONA inspired by Mangusta', a
vessel that embodies the shared vision of the Balducci family and Stefano Arlunno, co-founders
and members of the company behind the new brand EFFEBI NEW PROJECT.

This new model draws inspiration from Mangusta's pioneering spirit and ability to interpret the
desires of a new generation of Owners and to open up new horizons in the yachting segment
below 24 metres.

Built to Overmarine Group’s exacting standards, the ICONA 70 blends together the thrill and
emotions of the automotive world, pure architectural forms, and individuality elevated to a work of
art.

Igor Lobanov – also the creator of the design style of the Mangusta REV range – has integrated
this model's exteriors, interiors, ergonomics, and pilot bridge into a harmonious ensemble that
interprets the yacht as a moving sculpture.

The exteriors capture the eye with the seamless transition of the hull into the dark glazed
superstructure, which seems to dissolve under the tapered hardtop. The 3D-printed, honeycomb
structure engine-room air intake adds an automotive-inspired technical hallmark to the design,
while the mooring fittings and anchor housing are discreetly concealed to preserve this yacht's
clean, uncluttered lines.

In the ICONA 70 universe, colour, too, becomes a means to express uniqueness: the outdoor
and indoor palettes draw on the bespoke approach of the automotive world, reflecting each
Owner’s distinctive character while preserving the original design language.

Aft, the side wings open up, extending the beam to over 9 metres and creating an over 40-square-
metre platform by the sea – sizes and volumes normally found on much larger yachts which,
onboard this vessel, create a lifestyle centred around guests, shared experiences and
emotions.

The Best Exterior Design award puts the seal on the strength of the ICONA 70 vision: one that
challenges conventions and redefines the meaning of luxury, bringing an unprecedented desire to
life — a class of its own, a highly distinctive design language, a new era in yachting.
