MANGUSTA YACHTS TRIUMPHS AT THE WORLD SUPERYACHT AWARDS 2022

Last 21 May, Mangusta Yachts took the stage in London at the World Superyacht Awards 2022, one of the most prestigious acknowledgements in the yachting sector, organised by international magazine Boat International. A judging panel comprising highly experienced current and former superyacht owners traditionally awards the vessels that, over the previous year, have stood out for their style and technical features, as well as their unparalleled engineering quality. This year, among the worthy winners of the much coveted Neptune statues were the Mangusta Oceano 50 Alisa and the Mangusta 104 REV Offline.

The Mangusta Oceano 50 Alisa, a steel and aluminium 50-metre displacement yacht built at Overmarine's shipyard in Pisa, won in the category “Displacement Motor Yachts 499GT and Below, 45m and Above”.

The Jury was particularly impressed by the vessel's technical and construction features, which once more testified to the successful cooperation between the shipyard's Engineering Department, engineer Ausonio from P.L.A.N.A. Design, who took care of naval architecture, and designer Alberto Mancini. The Mangusta Oceano line has been conceived to offer Owners an exclusive onboard experience, enabling them to discover a new way of enjoying life at sea surrounded by beauty, elegance, and absolute comfort, no matter the destination they choose to explore.

The Jury's motivation reflects all the passion and commitment that have always driven Overmarine Group.

“In the majority view, this was the yacht the judges said they would choose for their own holidays. Not only solidly built, it also offered a well-considered layout and extremely spacious and practical living areas, both inside and out. Its large sundeck boasts all the necessary amenities for outdoor living including a spa pool, bar, relaxed seating, sun loungers and casual dining. Optimal use is also made of the foredeck which offers two possibilities: underway, it has settee seating and sunbeds, but when the tender stored beneath is launched and the decking is folded back, the empty tender bay can be filled with water to create a 6.5-metre by 2.6-metre pool with counter current. This forward garage location has allowed the stern to be filled with a huge 68-square-metre (732 sq/ft) beach club lit through four glass skylights, plus a full-beam gym. This area can be made even more spacious and airy by the two fold-down side platforms, while providing excellent connectivity with the sea for water sports.”

During the ceremony, the Mangusta 104 REV was also awarded as the winner of the category “Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts, 30M to 34.9M”. The judges were fascinated by the way design firm Lobanov Design and Overmarine Group's Engineering Department were able to reinterpret Mangusta's traditional sporty lines, as well as by the yacht's outstanding layout and the impressive brightness and visibility her guests can enjoy from the main deck.

On the Mangusta 104 REV, the exteriors and interiors form a free-flowing, harmonious continuum, maximising the concept of lifestyle meant as an unforgettable onboard life experience: once the aft cockpit door is opened completely, the salon and the outdoor areas create an uninterrupted open space where guests can relax at best and enjoy pleasant convivial moments. Besides her generous exterior spaces, Offline won over the judges with the modern style of her interiors, particularly in the incredibly bright salon located on the main deck. These were the key elements that allowed Offline to secure this important victory.

The Mangusta 104 REV is the entry-level composite model in the iconic Maxi Open range, built at the Viareggio production site, where 4 more units are currently under construction.

These prestigious awards pay tribute to the outstanding work and dedication of Overmarine Group's shipyard, which is fully committed to the construction of vessels combining advanced technological know-how and innovative design solutions.
