THE SECOND MANGUSTA 165 REV HAS BEEN LAUNCHED

The second unit of the new series Mangusta 165 REV was launched last 7 June, in the presence of her Owner and the whole team who took part in her construction. The vessel will be delivered next month and will then be cruising the Mediterranean Sea.

The flagship of the Maxi Open line stands out in particular for her impressive performances: mounting four Rolls Royce 2600 Hp engines coupled with as many Kongsberg-Kamewa water jets, she can indeed reach a maximum speed of 35 knots completely noiselessly and without any vibrations. Special care has also been taken to limit fuel consumption, which, thanks to an optimised hull and propulsion, has been reduced by approximately 30% against the previous series.

Design firm “Lobanov design” and the Shipyard's technical department joined efforts to work on this yacht, taking up a dual challenge: reinterpreting the classic lines of Maxi Open Mangusta yachts while preserving their identity on the one hand, and modifying the layout to optimise interior volumes on the other. The result of their style and expertise is the Mangusta 165 REV's slender and sporty profile.

The interiors, just like on all Mangusta yachts, are fully-custom and have been pencilled by the architect Marcello Pianosi POM home in cooperation with the Shipyard's design team.

Stepping onboard, the spacious aft cockpit is furnished with a large table perfect to dine en plein air. From there, access is gained to the saloon, dominated by huge floor-to-ceiling windows which not only ensure incredible brightness and a breathtaking view from every corner, but also open up onto the side balconies, ensuring an uninterrupted flow between the interiors and exteriors.

Light also floods the master stateroom, thanks to floor-to-ceiling glazed surfaces flawlessly integrated in the hull. This suite, on the main deck, is on two levels and extends over a total area of 92 sq. m. (990 sq./ft.).

The lower deck hosts a gym with a large Turkish bath, a full-beam VIP cabin, and three guest cabins.

The generous forward area has been designed to ensure guests will enjoy unparalleled relaxation, and is furnished with sofas, comfy sunpads, and a pool. The sun deck too offers comfortable sofas and a bar unit – the perfect spot to sip a cocktail at sunset.

Among the many innovative solutions introduced by this model, a special mention goes to the beach club, conceived as a fully-equipped lounge area by the sea.

The garage, accessed on the side, fits a 6 m water-jet tender and two jet-skis.

The sale of this unit has been secured by Manuele Thiella, and Tommaso Chiabra, of the brokerage house Royal Yacht International in cooperation with Ivan Adzic, Overmarine Group's Area Manager for France and the Principality of Monaco.
